Sinhala Science Glossary: A Comprehensive Science Dictionary
Sinhala Science Glossary is a mobile app developed by the Science Education & Dissemination Unit (SEDU) under the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS). The app is designed to help students learn science disciplines more easily and enjoyably. It contains more than 90,000 words covering various fields such as Agriculture, Botany, Education, IT, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geography, Library Science, Geo Science, Computer Science, Molecular Biology, Nursing, and Zoology. The glossaries included in the app are sourced from the first-ever Sinhala science website, vidumanpetha.com, hosted by SEDU, NIFS, and science-related glossaries available on the official web page of the Department of Official Languages.
The app is free to download and use, making it accessible to anyone with an Android device. It is a comprehensive science dictionary that provides a great resource for students, teachers, and science enthusiasts. However, it should be noted that the Mobile Apps for Science Students (MASS) project, of which this app is a part, has been concluded, and no further support or updates will be provided.
